So you wanna be a rock and roll star? What are your favorite classic rock bands? If you say the Pink Pussycats or Butt Head Surfer Boys, then you need to try country music! The best classic rock bands produced music that is as popular today as in the 1960's and 70's when most classic rock bands started playing. We do not call Elvis "The King" for nothing. Elvis, along with the Beatles, Chuck Berry and, yes, even Little Richard are generally acknowledged as the originators of rock and roll but it was the bands of the mid 60's and 70's who really put the rock in rock and roll. This is only a very short list of a few of the classic rock bands. Grateful Dead, Ted Nugent, The Eagles, The Rolling Stones, Kiss, Jefferson Starship, Lynard Skinnard, Tom Petty, AC/DC, ZZ Top, Eric Clapton and many, many more. The classic rock bands music is timeless and is, in my opinion, so far ahead of the garbage modern bands play it is not even a contest. Rap? Throw it in the trash with Punk and Heavy Metal where it belongs! AC/DC RULES BABY!
