A few weeks ago, my husband and I rented the movie Dazed and Confused. This movie began with one of the most popular classic rock songs ever. I know that my husband, who is quite a few years older than me, is a huge fan of classic rock songs. However, I was still amused and a little surprised when I looked at him to see why the sofa was moving and he was totally rocking out. He looked very much like someone’s dad who has had one beer to many at a party, but he was having so much fun that I managed to resist the urge to mock him until he was finished.
Since there are countless classic rock songs, you may be wondering what track opens the movie Dazed and Confused. The song in question is Sweet Emotion by Aerosmith. I managed to find a live version of this song among the classic rock videos on the You Tube site. This song was first released one year before I was born. However, I don’t think it is at all outmoded. I would never give my husband the satisfaction of telling him this to his face, but the song Sweet Emotion still rocks today.
